During the financial year 2015/16, NORED Electricity invested on the electrification investment projects to the tune of N$ 9 472 655.00. The projects were completed in 2016 and energized for beneficial use.

Rundu Town Kehemu Extensions 18, 19, 24 & 25 – The Medium Voltage and Low Voltage reticulation electrification were constructed in this areas to provide and increase access of the residents to the electricity connection in line with the national Harambee Prosperity Plan. Nine Pensioner elders receive free electricity connection up to the prepaid meters. The residents are now applying for electricity connections in big numbers to their houses N$ 2.0 Million
Sarasungu Boarder post – A 22kV power supply line with a transformer point was constructed to provide power to the Rundu Sarasungu boarder post entry point from Angola.

Chotto and Cowboy Locations – The Medium Voltage and Low Voltage reticulations were constructed in this area to provide access to electricity connections in line with the national Harambee Prosperity Plan. Ten pensioners elder’s Houses received free electricity connections up to the prepaid meters. Residents are now applying in big volumes for the connections to their houses as the access was created.
