All of our esteemed stakeholders are herewith informed that Electricity Control Board (ECB) has approved NORED 2018/19 tariffs increase of 5. 5% effective from the 01 July 2018.
The annual tariffs increase is in accordance with section 27, subsection (2) of the Electricity Act 4 of 2007 that “the ECB Board may from time to time, upon application by a licensee, revise the schedule of approved tariffs of the licensee concerned to submit such information as the Board may require for that purpose.” In addition, this increase is in relation with approved NAMPOWER tariffs adjusted at the beginning of this year to ensure a continued supply and distribute of electricity by NORED.
